Former Corazon Aquino’s condition is now being closely monitored, her family said Tuesday afternoon.
“We are closely monitoring her blood pressure which has been fluctuating,” the Aquino’s family said, noting that her condition changed from stable to “guarded.”
“Our mother’s condition has been stable for several weeks now and has turned guarded yesterday (Monday) afternoon,” according to the family’s statement that is now being circulated.
The family, however, stressed that the former leader is asleep and “not in pain.”
Aquino was diagnosed with colon cancer last 2008 and has been confined at the Makati Medical Center for over a month for loss of appetite.

I am deeply sad to hear about your condition, what made me sad most is how your condition being taking care of by the doctors. We all know that cancer has no cure, nevertheless, we entrust ourselves to modern medecine wherein one of their options procedure is to undergo, either operation or through chemotheraphy in which there are no assurance to cure, in fact undergoing chemotheraphy is a double blade procedure wherein your bad cell will be damaged as well as your good cell that could trigger more dificulties on your health. I said all these things is because I have also a spinal tumor which I opted not to undergo in operation nor in chemotheraphy. Its the same thing if ever, no assurance of healing, my only problem now is how to manage the pain, at least I can still go wherever I want driving my car.
My prayers madame president will always be for your immediate recovery, I only entrust my life to HIM GOD, because with him, there is no cost involve. Unlike in doctors wherein there is no assurance will cost us million of pesos.

Dear Madam President and to the family…I am in much in grieve for this past few days now knowing that Mrs Aquino’s conditions are not stable..I am a loyal supporter of Ninoy since mid 70’s till now..I supported all the fights and advocacies of the Aquinos..even Kris and Noynoy..I even travelled from Nueva Ecija to Tarlac when Ninoy died to attend his funeral.

I and my only sibling were in the same position where Kris and her siblings are in today. My mother was diagnosed as having the disease (colon cancer) in 1996 when she was 79 years old. However, her doctor noted that the progress of the disease had been slow for someone at that age and that my mother was able to outlive it until she finally succumbed to septicemia, a serious infection associated with colon cancer, 4 years after.
Mrs. Aquino’s frail condition heartens me. Her images depict a woman of overwhelming strength and her courage is apparent despite the pain she suffers. I wish miracle still happens.

Sa inyo pong mga anak at pamilya ng ating Pangulong Corazon Aquino, lalo’t higit kay Miss Kris Aquino na simula’t sapul ay hinangaan ko na sa kanyang pagiging matatag at matalino, na lalo kong hinahangaan ngayon sa kanyang ipinapakitang pagmamahal sa kanyang ina.
