My countrymen, I will run for president this coming elections. I will continue the fight. Thank you very much.

In my own opinion, I think Noynoy decision if for the good of the. I never voted during the presidential election. When former president Cory Aquino run for president, I was just 17 years old. I am from the province of Marinduque and during that election I am fresh from the province. I witness the struggle of former president Aquino. from the snap election to the edsa revolution. from the natural calamities and coup attemps during her term. I really admire her courage and strength for those trials and she passed with flying colors. Since Noynoy declared his bid for presidency, I decided to regester as voters. I will support you Noynoy and my entire family will vote for you. i just hope that you will be like your mother and father and make our country a corruption free country and equality for every Filipino specialy in terms of justice. GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!!!

i dont knw what to say.its like,im not prepared to see him go on the next presidential election.i cant seem to see or feel his effect on me.maybe there was or is a clamor for him to run.but his effect isnt that big for me.but papa and mama says he is a good person, coz he is not a corrupt official.i mean, did u see the interview of the ex-wife of miguel arroyo.she said, that the arroyo’s are not who they used to be.they were eaten and still drowning by the power they gained.its like, when they started fresh they were all about change for the country.yeah right, change has happened.well, they did something good for the country im not a baised person.just like what senator gordon said, she did something good but her ways of getting into the position made her tide down to those people who helped her sit there.for now,im still listening to what will come up in the next days.well,if you want the country to grow you must be ready to be a good enemy and friend.why?ask this to yourself CHURCHES,ALLIES,SUPPORTERS,SUBBORDINATES,FRIENDS.I PUT FRIENDS ON THE LATTER PART COZ THEY ARE THE PEOPLE WHO CAN BETRAY YOU,THAT YOU WOULD EXPECT THE LEAST.I DID NOT PUT FAMILY, COZ FAMILY WILL ALWAYS BE FAMILY NO MATTER WHATEVER HAPPENS.

When Mar Roxas announced that he will give up his race for presidency giving way to Ninoy I was dumbfounded, knowing that he had planned this for quiet a long time. I really admired Mar Roxas for his decision, he would be a remarkable leader to this country.
I asked myself, ” Is this what God has planned for our country?” Nobody has predicted that this would come or something like this would happen. I will vote for Noynoy not because he is the son of Cory and Ninoy, but I know this man will make a difference. Our country has suffered long enough with the long line of corrupt and capricious government officials, and I believe we can no longer endure ths kind of cancer that is eventually killing us every day. If change is unevitable, then let’s start it NOW.

Why would he run for presidency? It’s just because people around him pressures him to do so. Just because people told him to run, doesn’t mean he should run. A good leader knows what he can do.. and what he cannot do. As for noynoy, I admire him. I know and I believe that he’s a good person. But I don’t think he’s ready for the seat he’s running for. He should have proven something when he’s still a senator. He don’t have to be a president just to give people what he’s telling “PAG-ASA”. I just see him now as a politician leaning on his mother’s and father’s name. I just hope he doesn’t leave a stain on his parent’s name. As a candidate for president.,I don’t believe in him. He lacks the quality of a good leader. But noynoy as a person, I admire him. He’s not corrupt.

AS for those people around him, please think about it. It’s the future of the people of the Philippines we’re talking about here. I know the death of Cory still lingers in your heart(mine as well) but we should also think about noynoy’s candidacy. We should all evaluate this and think for ourselves if this will really help. We should not just let our feelings decide. Otherwise, worse will always happen. Try to decide with reasoning.

The long wait is over, finally Noynoy has decided to run for Presidency. It was a great relief for the millions of Filipinos who are asking him to run. I hope those other candidates, administration or opposition who’s vying for the highest position in the land would realize that Noynoy is the only ONE who can unite and improve the problem-stricken lives of the Filipino people(Sana di na sila tumakbo hehehe). I hope the Filipinos will unite and vote for Nonoy to become President.

sen noynoy aquino’s run for president is another sacrifice that the country has secured from the family of cory and ninoy. the presidency is a very difficult task that would entail true commitment and a lot of sacrifice and with what has transpired, the young aquino is very much aware of this. we pray for him and we hope that the rest of the country will help and join this aquino in carrying us out of the dark alley where we are now…but let us not return to the pancitan to chat and sleep if ever he gets elected like we did with his mother. we left cory to do a lot of fighting for us… i hope we wake up that no one person can do it on his own. the fight to stay inn the light and prevent evil from taking over is a colegial task that must be shared by a people. noynoy on his own cannot raise us from this deep hole created by the last two administrations and we must work together to raise the nation out of it for the sake of the future. he may not yet be ready but with all our help, he could be one of the leaders who will help shape the positive future of this nation.

ALL OF A SUDDEN… HE IS BEING TREATED AS A HERO NOW? EVERY FILIPINO VOTERS MUST THINK FIRST BEFORE GETTING OVERWHELMED TOO.

I hope Noynoy will not duplicate the Erap Administration. Our country is becoming to be known as a “boom and bust” economy of the world. We may not be in the best economic level at present but at least, for the second time, I personally, have seen a semblance of order in governance. The first time I saw it was when FVR was the President. GMA may not be a very popular President because of so many negative things (proven and unproven) but at least she has proven to know how to run a country.
Sympathy may win votes but in the end what matters most for the coming generation is how the next leader will carry on with what the encumbent administration has achieved so far.
To tell you frankly, I am now very concerned that majority of our voters will vote for Noynoy only because he is the son of Cory and Ninoy. I admire Ninoy and Cory especially Ninoy as his ultimate sacrifice woke us all up during the darkest years of Martial Law. He is my hero. But his son Noynoy will only earn my and my family’s vote if he can convince me that he knows how to run my country!

I now call on fellow Filipino Citizens: Let us use our mind not only our hearts when we elect our next leader. Our country have suffered for so long. Let us use our intelligence NOW or else our children and their childrens’ children will bear the brunt of our mistakes.

Why do I have again this creepy feeling when Marcos and Erap became Presidents? Whew!

  • ROD said:

If actions speak louder than words, then we all have seen and heard what the current crop of “trapos” have been actuating through their political advertisements – that they know ways of circumventing the rule of law, and that they will use such knowledge to advance their own interests, in order to get ahead of the political race. They are showing the Filipino people that their bravery fears no law, and that they are ready because they are prepared to do whatever it takes to succeed in gaining power.

Be wary of the man who wants to be a “servant to the people” – he is either a fool or a liar, neither of which is fitted for government.

Do not serve us. Instead, inspire us to serve each other.

words of noynoy aquino oin his website

“I am determined to continue the fight started by my father and my mother to see
that democracy takes root and is strengthened in our country. This cannot happen
in a government that serves the interest of the powerful few. We must strengthen
the institutions of government so that they truly serve the interests of our people.”

    In the light of attempts to weaken our democracy, I therefore stand to;

    1. Strengthen the Senate as an independent branch of government;

    2. Continue to hold government to account for its excesses and misgovernance;

    3. Resist Charter Change if done to serve the selfish interests of the few and if the process circumvents that prescribed by the constitution;

    4. Oppose all attempts to impose a repressive government, and more importantly; and

    5. Be the voice of the powerless and the oppressed, those who do not have access to our government and are, thus, victims of injustice.

    - great platforms.. i wonder, if i vote for someone like you would you also take back all the lands from the people like what your mother did when she was in power?
or will you still remember these platforms when you are already president?
    - how about the fact that most people never really heard of you until now, could it be that you’re making use of your mother’s death to gain popularity? what a pity…
senator..with all due respects, are you man enough to take on the challenge of presidency? how about controlling first your clan and avoid persecuting all the farmers is that conjuanco-aquino hacienda? how about it?
    - it is such a shame that people like you are always on the go for the highest position, never really ashamed of the fact that the only reason why some of you win is because there are more stupid people here in this country than there are ignorants in africa..
    i pity you..
you clearly don’t deserve my vote..
and the taxes i pay for every month..

Am glad Noynoy has finally take the challenge. We can only hope, he can discern too, who to trust. As it is, the wolves in lamb clothes are all over in Club Filipino. The faces just showed the good intentions for the country, but how do you fathom their desires? I do not trust many of them. One big name in the liberal party has a brother working in Department of Agriculture (DA). DA employees in 2007 has swore how corrupt his brother occupying a high position. While this Liberal Party ranking official is part in initiating a letter to Obama to ignore GMA, he cannot mention his brother’s name in the lists of corrupt officials. What about Leah Navarro and company, will they not declare later, it is our time now when Noynoy sits as Pres of the Philippines to get richer, damn with the moral of streets’ shouting of anti-corruption?… it is the essence of “weather weather lang”? People are critics when they are outside of the political power. Once they get the political power, they do what they criticized. It’s a game of roller coaster, take a ride or if you are out, be a critic. How about Jun Lozada? Jun Lozada who was (?) once (?) part of corruption in the government now has a turn around to be clean? Is he not shedding crocodile tears? It is ironic for Filipinos to be swayed with remorse agenda and innuendos of corrupt officials and people at large. Have we thought that, if ZTE was pushed through and Jun Lozada with crocodile tears was part of FG or Abalos team… will he shout damned with ZTE corruptions? It’s a big NO! they could have enjoyed the luxuries money can buy. It was only when ZTE got sour that Lozada made a turn around as there were no trickles of corrupt money going his way and to Joey de Venecia’s son… We are surrounded with the same corrupt minds and souls… how do you count Joey de Venecia who will support Noynoy soon?… think of chameleon in your surroundings… He got the luxurious life during Marcos with all the behest loans going his way and avoiding them in the tricks of all tricks in legal dribbles… Filipinos should know how to condemn corrupt and devil minds public officials… So many of them… start counting in Estrada’s administration… and you will quiver the thoughts that they are so alive either as critics of the present corrupt GMA administration or part of GMA regime. But it is just a matter of time that they take turns to be the criticized and the critics… MOney, money, money…. and power… get drunk!

How typical and dramatic of a politician. It always has to be a dramatic entrance to get the peoples attention.. hahaha! it really had to be done on the 40th day of her moms passing. If he really wanted to serve this country and his country men then he should have decided immediately. How would he react if he was in power and a great problem should arise.. “hmm… ill think about it..” Don’t get me wrong Pres. Cory Aquino did unite everyone since she was the one who led the opposition, then due to her husbands death though it became stronger when Sen. Juan Ponce Enrile and Former Pres. Ramos joined the opposition force.

This certainly shows a side of the political dynasty to arise ‘MORE’ in this country of ours. What we need is a president who is dedicated to lead and not think twice about it! Lets all hope and pray to God that our country would arise from all this problems of corruption, poverty, and a lot more. Has this person made a big difference in this country or is it just because he carries his fathers name that he is well known to the public? I will vote for NOYNOY! We were fooled before and we have learned from our mistake when we chose the intelligent one… An intelligent, english speaking ROBBER! Now, in choosing for a new president, we certainly look at CHARACTER not BRAINS! Senator Noynoy and his family had the chance to be billionaires by robbing our country when our beloved president Cory Aquino is still in office, but they chose not to. Senator Noynoy, doesn’t have his own house, car, etc…until his mother’s death. I think that is what a public servant should be. COUNTRY FIRST!

Senator Noynoy’s decision to run for President is indeed God’s plan. From the time of President Cory’s illness, her death although painful to Filipino people and most specially to the Aquino family, the time when Sen. Mar Roxas gave way for Sen. Noynoy to run for President, and up to the time Sen. Noynoy accept his mission is really the work of God. Everything was perfectly planned and executed smoothly.
I salute you Senator Noynoy for continuing the legacy of your parents.

My other fellow teachers in our school are also expressing their inclination to vote for Noynoy. Noynoy has inherited a privilege to continue fighting for democracy from his parents. My concern is the blunt truth that he doesn’t have the charisma and passion of a great leader which his parents and even his sister, Kris possess in sufficient degrees. But then again we’ve had brilliant and charismatic presidents in the past who only plundered and cheated us of economic stability and our dignity to hold our heads up high among our progressive asian neighboring countries. With this being said,I wish Noynoy courage, fortitude of spirit and never to lose focus of his destiny which is to champion and vigilantly guard democary in the face corruption which is deeply rooted in our political psyche’ and temptations which will constantly feed on one’s craving for political greed and vanity.

I will vote for Nonoy in the 2010 elections… In fact, I already started “campaigning” for him even before he announced his presidential bid. I started at home, fortunately we share the same point view so there’s no need to campaign… I will try to convince at least 10 people a month to vote for Nonoy, starting this month. It will be my own little way to contribute to the true reform that we desire for our motherland. What we have before us is a chance for true reform in our government… I am very sure of that because his family is God-fearing and has delicadeza. And that is what’s important. We already tried the ones who has a long list of credentials and achievements and look where we are now? Let me share to you that of the twelve disciples of Jesus Christ, Judas Iscariot was the most learned, well-connected and the one who betrayed Him. Simon Peter was a fisherman but because of his faith in God, he was chosen by Jesus Himself to lead and to him was entrusted the Keys to Heaven.

To Nonoy, I will pray for you and continue praying when you become president because that is when the true battle begins. Never lose faith in God…

    For God and country…

    There is hope…

You would most likely be a good president. I admire your mom, who ruled with integrity. Surely that would be one of the greatest trait that would help rule a country. Indeed character would most count then skills would follow. There’s just one person who might be detrimental to your reign if you become a president, your sister Kris. She is controlling as I’ve heard her speeches and how she wants your personal life also. I hope and pray that she will not get in any way when the Lord’s sovereignity allows you to be our president. It doesn’t mean you won’t listen to her or the people around you, just do what is right, right for the nation & pure for the Lord.

I truly believe that Noynoy will be a great president. Over the past 9 years, we saw the reemergence of the shades of Marcos in the person of Gloria Arroyo. Tama na, sobra na!

The 9 years of corruption of the Arroyo Family may have surpassed the corruption of Marcos 21 year reign. We saw that some greedy people tried to change the constitution to suit their avarice, which the late Ferdinand Marcos.

Enough is enough. Never again.

I do not see any other presidential candidate that could preserve our existing freedoms. Villar is rich but rich men have rich taste. Erap on the other hand has besmirched his reputation on Jose Velarde Scandal and Jueteng. Chiz Escudero belongs to the NPC, the party run by Danding – a crony Marcos era and a member of the then Rolex 12.

My vote is unwavering for Noynoy.

After hearing his declaration and his “basis speech”, I am just not sure if he can live to his parents reputation. Base from the depth of his speech on why he came to his decision I just can’t see a real reason other than the enigma left by his parents. COrrect me if I’m wrong but if Noynoy is running because the Filipino “Does” want him to, that will be not enough. He should know for himself that he is up for the run, up for the test, and up for the task with no turning back. As I evaluate his short speech it started with him on the shadows of the death of his mom “Cory” annd the dedication of his Dad “Ninoy”. He also mentioned that a 5 year old kid added to his decision making factor, that the kid knows the darkside of life thru a rap music. I just can’t justify that notion. Like what Remula said, we should base ones popularity with a candidates’ track record and contribution to our government. When Noynoy was asked “How will you stop the Corruption in our country?” He did not directly answer the question with a stern advocacy, but he played it safe. We should be very careful with a candidate to push for our president. We have always based our decision by our feelings and not wise thinking. Lets stick to a candidate that knows his business.

I’ve read the commentary of Morato. If he questions the ability of Noynoy, true enough hes’ got the point. Similarly, because of this handicap Cory survived the turmoils of stabilizing the government from the culture of dictatorship towards a democratic kind of governance. She became a sane president because of her acceptance that she is just a mere housewife. So much so that her final decisions are arrived at from the divergent points of view who helped her run the government. We cannot ask Noynoy for a miracle, because the miracle starts from us; the voter who sincerely wants reforms. And this reforms must come from ourselves first. As for Morato, he cannot flatly tell me what the “yellow” ribbon signifies to anybody. For me it is a sign of change that I myself should undergo. My “yellow” ribbon in my cars’ antenae tells me that I have to be carefull, obey the traffic rules, and respect the people crossing the pedestrian lane. It will be a defeat of purpose sporting that ribbon if change cannot be witness on my person.

With her high credentials and experience – aba qualified na qualified. Kaso corrupt.

Not to mention the Remullas and Villars hail from Cavite.

Credentials and Experience are nothing compared to the intention to serve our country. Would you trust the coffers of our nation’s wealth to some cunning s.o.b.?

I will not vote for a man who is super rich because he has rich taste. Magkano kaya more than $35,000 na hapunan?

I will not vote for a man who has too many issues and scandals of the past with him.

I will not vote for a man who belongs to a party financed by a former Marcos crony. We had enough of crony capitalism and monopolies.

I will not vote for a man who belongs to the administration which have manifested its corruption from the very beginning and managed to slip away unpunished.

My vote goes to the man I trust that he will not be corrupted by power and our nation’s treasures. My vote goes to the man who was reared up by great parents. I vote Noynoy.

Now I have a major problem. I have earlier decided to examine the capabilities of Manny Villar and if elections were held yesterday, he gets my vote. I chose this way because I want the country to be ran profitably and the people will develop a discipline of looking at the value add of everything they do, in favor of the country. With Sen, Noynoy taking on the challenge, I will now start looking at how capable he is compared to Manny Villar. I appreciate very much Noynoy’s taking on the challenge. I am sure the government will be cleaner than it is today because he is morally upright. But I will need to worry about 2 things: will the military allow him to serve peacefully? And who can help him run the economy ngayong panahon ng tag-hirap at walang katiyakan ang galaw ng ekonomiya?

I believe Noynoy was raised to have strong faith in God, and his faith in HIM will guide Noy to lead us with honesty and integrity. I’m sure he will not taint the names of his parents, that their legacy will be continued, if other aspirants really love the Filipino people they will set aside their ambition and will not run anymore to assure us all that no Administration candidate will win this coming election. Lahat ng opposition na tatakbo only love their self and not the Filipino People. This is the time to unify kalimutan ang sarili para sa bayan.

I am very much delighted that Senator Noynoy Aquino will run for Presidency this 2010 election. He is a good son to our late Preisdent Cory and National Hero Ninoy. A loving brother to his siblings. I do hope that when the time comes that he be elected as our 15th President of my beloved Philippines, he will stand to his family’s tradition of good governance.

    Mabuhay Po Kayo Senator Noynoy.

It may be said that Noynoy could do what his parents have done for our country. that’s no problem. the thing is can he eradicate the corruptions in our country which almost rooted up to the lowest level of our governmental institutions? Corruptions can be seen even in our youth being trained to governance like in “Kabataang Barangay”.

I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST NOYNOY AQUINO. BUT I DONT THINK HE CAN B A GOOD PRESIDENT. YES, HE’S GOOD IN A WAY NA DI SYA KURAKOT, BUT HE IS TOO YOUNG TO BCOME A PRESIDENT, LACK OF EXPERIENCE. LETS FACE THE FACT, KUNG IKAW NGA AY NAG-AAPLY NG TRABHO, ANG HINAHANAP AY EXPERIENCE, WHAT MORE NA OBLIGASYON MO ANG BUONG PILIPINAS? 11 Sept. 2009

    People of the Philippines,

I’t a great wonder in my wit that some Pilipino people will support, vote & campaign for the good senator Noynoy Aquino just because of his father & the late former Pres. Aquino. Sen. Aquino III sincethen has no plans to run as president. It’s only when he saw the crowd on his mother’s wake & funeral when he contemplates to run.

1st let me ask the Pilipino people what has the late Benigno Aquino &
Pres. Cory did in our country. Overwhelmingly the reply is they’ve fought against Marcos regime & RESTORE democracy in our country.

That’s the only reply I usually heard specially to Ms. Kris Aquino Yap. But have you ever ask what is the root cause of high cost of electricity, rebellion, high profile corruption, drugs etc.

When Mrs. Aquino came into power, she immediately stop the operation
of the 680 MW Bataan Nuclear Power Plant for political reasons. She stopped the operation said power plant but done nothing in replacement of same. She has no idea on the situation & condition of our power plants which are already too old and need rehabilitation.

When Pres. Ramos succeeded her NOW comes the power shortage and a nationwide blackout was experienced by the entire nation. To the extent that load shedding was implemented meaning delivery power was scheduled all over the Philippines. Pres. Ramos, inorder to solve the
power crisis immediately invite foreign power companies to construct
power plants that could be built in a short possible time, which they
brought hereat the GAS TURBINE POWER PLANTS. Said power plant is only
utilized in Saudi because of it’s huge fuel consumption & cost.

Pres. Ramos implemented the B.O.T scheme, build operate & transfer of
Power Plant. And had agreement that eventhough they are not generating power the philippine government will pay the foreign power
firm. This is the result that we are experiencing and suffering now a days, our electric bills are TOO HIGH

The late Pres. Cory immediately implemented the reconcillation policy.
She let Sen Boots Aquino to fetch Nur Misuari who is in exile in Saudi and invite for the return. But what Prof. Misuari did? What has
he did to the budget of ARMM and still rebellion, arms groups, bandits etc are in mindanao.

NO MORE PRICE CONTROl like in the Marcos era. Now government has no
control in basic commodities. Oil during the Marcos time was controlled and regulated, NOW what?

Crimes are so great like we are in the Amazon Jungle. Drugs,Rapes,
Murders, Banks robberies, High profile corruptions. Are this crimes
exist during Marcos era? No, because Marcos government has a control
and people are afraid. They will be like Limseng. They will be convicted like in the Maggie dela Riva case. Boys from the well known
families are put to electric chairs. Now what?

I don’t think Noynoy have what it takes to win the election. No track record whatsoever. Mar has a better chance of winning. The call for him to run for president is fueled by hype. A hype that happened too early. In a couple of months time a lot will change. With regards to “democracy”, it’s not the person sitting on the helm. Democracy sits on the people. Let’s be honest here, a lot of people will sell democracy for a couple of hundred pesos come election time. So stop blaming politicians when it comes to democracy. Half the blame rest on us. The truth is, election is run by money. If voters will keep on accepting money, nothing will change. It’s a simple math. Many would trade a single day of comfort by accepting a few hundreds to change their vote without looking ahead. Ignoring the trade off between 1 day against several years of tenure (president, senators, congressman etc.)

Let’s face it. Come election time, everybody cheats. It may not be the candidate themselves but the people running the election for them. It’s all comes down on who’s a better cheater. The person who has the most money will win.

Unless we change our ways as voters, it will be a cycle all over again. I do believe that there are honest to goodness voters out there. The problem is being outnumbered by those who are not.

    My personal opinion.

God bless noynoy, more importantly us all filipinos.

Di ba dapat naka distribute na yan sa mga walang lupa as mandated in the Agrarian Reform Law? And how true is it that Senator Noy supported the Reproductive Health Bill as i had read from a local newspaper here in Cebu … sabi don anti-life si Noynoy…please explain…. your mother is a devout catholic and we expect you to be one. What is your stand regarding these matters…give us a good answer…only then we will give our votes to you….

Our predicament during the CORY MAGIC PEOPLE POWER phenomenon was far from the scenario today. We were then rallying for the full restoration of freedom and democracy. We as a people have so many traumas-NOT ONLY THE COUP DE ETATS and THE KAMAG-ANAK INC.-THE ECONOMY was then in total chaos. The OLIGARCHS reclaim their power with the abolition of Martial Law. Their is now too much freedom. Today the battle is between which oligarchs will govern this fragmented and disillusioned nation. I DOUBT the capacity of NOYNOY to unite the opposition. HIS body of works is wanting. HE LACKS CHARISMA despite his pedigree. I DREAD the return of KAMAG-ANAK INC. especially THE glib talker KRIS AQUINO. SHE WILL BECOME ANOTHER POWER HUNGRY POWERBROKER ‘first lady” to NOYNOY. SHE’S A MONSTER in reality despite the image she projects as a personality.
NOYNOY has not professed any involvement in any nationalistic movement. Or I was just ignorant? But I have never heard of any. SO MY IMPRESSION IS HE’S JUST ANOTHER TRAPO to ber dictated by his KAMAG-ANAK AND THE OLIGARCHS-SUPPORTERS OF HIS CAMPAIGN. I DON’T SEE ANY CHANGE IN THE COUNTRY WITH HIS PRESIDENCY. AND I DOUBT IT BADLY IF HE WILL BECOME ONE.

Let us not forget the Mendiola massacre and Hacienda Luisita..Please. They who labor there are the people who need Nonoy’s love and engagement. Put action to words, free up Hacienda Luisita.
