Bila kita bicara komunitas, pasti tidak akan bisa dilepaskan dari kegiatan-kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh sekelompok orang yang kenal dan berkumpul bersama-sama dalam sebuah wadah dikarenakan memiliki persamaan interest ataupun sesederhana kecocokan berinteraksi atau bahkan karena persamaan daerah tempat mereka berada.

Kegiatan dalam sebuah komunitas bisa terjadi karena kekuatan ikatan hubungan antar pengguna dalam komunitas tersebut. Mereka merasa cocok dan nyaman satu sama lain, lalu mulai lah mereka mengadakan kegiatan bersama-sama. Sudah banyak kegiatan-kegiatan komunitas yang dilakukan oleh kelompok-kelompok yang berbasiskan produk-produk Yahoo! Kita bisa lihat berapa banyak kopdar yang terjadi pada komunitas pengguna Koprol. Berapa banyak grup-grup pada Flickr yang mengumpulkan foto bersama-sama dengan tema tertentu? Belum lagi kegiatan tanya-jawab di Yahoo! Answers yang menciptakan banyaknya ekspert dalam bidang-bidang yang umum di kehidupan kita. Pada beberapa tahun yang silam kita bisa hitung kelompok-kelompok yang menggunakan Yahoo! Groups sebagai basis mereka mengkoordinir aktivitas di darat, dan banyak lagi.

Lalu apa yang sedang berjalan sekarang? Yang akan berlangsung dalam waktu dekat adalah Kopfest dan juga Hack & Roll. Dan kalian juga bisa mendapatkan siapa saja yang sudah berbagi senyum di Flickr. Sesi tanya-jawab yang menarik pun bisa kalian dapatkan pada Yahoo! Answers. Dan yang tergolong baru adalah aktivitas Podcast Yahoo! yang setiap minggu membawakan topik terpopuler pada search, berita-berita yang menarik minat banyak orang serta hal-hal yang berkaitan dengan aktivitas komunitas.

Job Responsibilities/The Role/The Job

• Cultivate and foster relationships with Yahoo!’s top advertisers.
• Develop and implement strategies to expand clients’ accounts across Yahoo! ad product portfolio.
• Provide quarterly sales projections on a weekly basis.
• Knowledge and understanding of all internal systems to effectively responding to and proactively reaching out on specialized client requests and up-selling opportunities
• Handling and diffusing conflicts that arise with clients and accounts

Minimum Job Qualifications

• 4 or more years total individual sales experience; advertising sales experience preferred
• 3 or more years experience directly managing a fast-paced, quality-focused sales and service organization
• Proven history of successfully attaining or exceeding aggressive goals
• Ability to work towards common goals in a group sales environment
• Professional demeanor
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
• Outstanding computer skills including solid knowledge of spreadsheets (Excel), PowerPoint, word processing (MS Word) and CRM systems
• Basic statistical analysis
• Able to handle multiple priorities and manage time effectively.
• Ability to work well within a team environment as well as individually
• Able to reach out and build relationships with other teams across the organization
• Fluent in English for both speaking and writing

Title: Senior Legal Counsel — Yahoo! Southeast Asia (Location: Jakarta, Indonesia)

Yahoo! Southeast Asia is looking for an experienced lawyer (to be based in Jakarta) to join its high-energy Southeast Asia legal team. You will provide support for Yahoo!’s growing and diversifying operations in Indonesia. You will report to the General Counsel of Yahoo! Southeast Asia, with a dotted line to the General Manager of Yahoo! Indonesia.

Your day-to-day life will require the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously while working independently towards their completion. The expectation is that within 3 months you will become an indispensable resource to the team.

Specific responsibilities:

The work will include using your proven transactional expertise to draft, review and negotiate various corporate and commercial agreements including licensing, marketing, content, distribution, e-commerce, channel and online media agreements relating to our advertising, search and mobile businesses, while supporting the organization on all matters legal. You will handle and manage general corporate and commercial matters, including litigation, product reviews, review advertising and promotions laws, ensure site and deal compliance with applicable laws, law enforcement, censorship and human rights issues and assist with corporate governance and corporate secretarial matters. You will support the Yahoo! office and business in Indonesia on all legal matters as required from time to time. You may also have regional, functional responsibilities for Southeast Asia. You will work closely with the Southeast Asia legal team in Singapore and outside counsel in Indonesia, and with many of Yahoo!’s U.S. and international in-house lawyers, as well as Yahoo!’s business, technical, and finance teams. Regular travel, in particular to Singapore, will be required.

Skills and Qualifications:

We are looking for an Indonesia qualified lawyer with at least eight years of relevant post-qualification experience, excellent academics, and sound commercial sense. Familiarity with internet, media and intellectual property laws and issues, regulatory and current corporate governance practices in Indonesia is preferred. The position also requires first rate drafting, analysis and communications skills, plus admission to the bar in Indonesia.  You will be bilingual in both English and Bahasa Indonesia, with excellent spoken and written skills in both. You must also have a love for the Internet, an understanding of online business models, and a great sense of humour. You must be able to work independently, manage tight deadlines and thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced and constantly changing and evolving environment. You must be mature, innovative and posses creative problem solving skills.
